Why is Aspergers syndrome labbeled as a bad thing?

The only drawback I see is that aspies tend to suck at social life, but everything else works just ok, even better than the average "normie".

e.g. Aspies tend to be damn good for math and high-cognitive related stuff; when they put their focus on a subject in specific, they'll not lose it at ease. I'd preffer that thousands of times over being successful at social life.

Sorry if bad english, not my native language.

Who's saying it was good anyways?

It's just a trait, like evey other human trait; it hasn't to be good nor bad.

Also, Assburgers (or high fuctioning autism) =/= Autism

Its only true to a small degree, maybe 1% of aspergers people tend to be pretty smart at thinking but socially dumb, the rest are pretty much just shit at everything

I had a classmate with asperger syndrome diagnosed in HS. he was a genius not only in math related stuff, but in arts and music; it's so sad he was a poorfag anyways and achieved nothing really important in life. 1 genius wasted.

My analisis comes from empirical data, not from some hollywood shit movie.

I also had a classmate with asperger's in my class. He never talked to anyone. In all the years nobody ever heard his voice. One day he almost killed another kid by throwing a rock at his head. For the following year he was always monitored by a security guard. His grades were average, sometimes below average. No special skill whatsoever.

You're misunderstanding asperger's with Autism in it's purest form.

Aspies can have fluent conversations. they talk and can sometimes relate to others. it's just that they can't mantain friends because they think that having friends it's pointless/don't understand long-term relationships.

I dunno man, I've learned that research and experimentation requires a lot of creativity, something aspies tend to lack as far as I'm concerned.

einstein was definitely not an aspie.

aspergers != higher intelligence

if an aspie has an above average intelligence, they would also have it without aspergers

I watched a documentary about an aspie. Not one of those geniuses, just a normal guy with asperger's. He was married, so obviously they can learn how to maintain relationships. He also had his own house and was working some medium salary job. In the video he explained how for him there is no difference between a car, a dog and a human. In his view they are all just moving objects with more or less predictable trajectories. He also does some weird rituals like stepping back and forth in every direction before leaving the house.

Because there are several billion people on the planet and we have to work together.

Assburgers here.
I was a child prodigy in math and to some degree physics, could calculate square roots and quadrates on the fly when I was 5, could name the main elements found in the atmosphere of all the planets in our solar system at 4, but had severe traumatic near death experiences and had serious brain damage, and that's why I'm here now not even nearly as intelligent as my 3 year old me.

You're thinking of savants. Savants are people who for whatever reason (usually literal autism) are challenge in some fields, while very gifted in others.
Not everyone who's a savant is autistic, not everyone who's autistic is a savant.

LOLNO. Not true at all. Only few aspies are good at it. And vast majority of normal people are better than them anyway.

>when they put their focus on a subject in specific, they'll not lose it at ease. I'd preffer that thousands of times over being successful at social life.

implying not being successful at social life is the only negative of having a mental disease.

>Sorry if bad english, not my native language.
No need to apologize, you fucking autist.

To be honest, I'd say we owe most of our computing technology to so called "autists". That level of detail and logic is just not typically tolerated by "normal" humans.

Also, OP, I have that syndrome as well and it did not make me naturally better at mathematics or "cognitive stuff". I became better at the age of 11 when I started taking an interest.

I did not have poor social skills, unless not wanting to socialise at all is equal to poor social skills. But having anger fits and attacking people mercilessly when they bothered me didn't really help my childhood.
Besides what I just mentioned, what are the negative effects of this disease?
