What's up /sci/ I have a new, geometric proof that Fermat's Last Theorem holds for n=3. I've done a little bit of Google-searching and I haven't found anything like it yet. I'm not sure it'll generalize to other prime exponents but it's worth looking into. I'll stick around for about 10 minutes now and I'll post the proof tomorrow.

Fermat's Last Theorem has already been proven, for n = anything greater than 2

and if it's JUST a proof of n = 3 that you discovered, that's not Fermat's Last Theorem. His theorem was that it held for n = everything above 2

proofs for specific instances of n aren't really that amazing or useful

Yeah, I know it's already been proven, sperglord. However, I do think specific cases have some value for two reasons.

1) Multiple proofs are never a bad thing.
2) More evidence towards deciding if he actually had a proof that could have fit in the margin.

Also, it says n=3 in the first sentence. 2/10, made me reply and sigh a little.

alright well what do you want, a pat on the back for doing nothing useful?

You won't find it here bro

I'm not expecting you all to bow down before me or anything, I realize this is a very small thing. I just thought that some people might appreciate OC on this shitpile of faggotry, homework, and troll philosophy. Apparently I was wrong.

why not just start the thread with it.
