Does anyone know of any good physics books that can help someone acquire the correct way to go about solving the problems?

My professor is practically useless and i feel my textbook doesn't go into great depth regarding the actual methods to solve problems.

I used Giancoli freshman year, but the class I'm currently TAing uses matter and interactions.

was it good enough to self-teach?

>draw a picture
>think about it
>express those thoughts in a mathematical framework

thats it.
