The average human uses only 8 to 10 percent of their total brain capacity. What would happen in real life if somebody used 100%? I think some people probably come close to that, Leonardo Davinci, Niel deGrasse Tyson, they probably use something like 90 to 95 percent. Probably people that we think of as geniuses are just using a higher percentage of their brain.

Too obvious/stupid even for /b/.

I'mwworking on using 12%, I think I'm at 10%
Ultimate goal is something close to 100%

>> No.6702292

the writers knew that was a false statement, but the movie was constructed to be more mythical than realistic. if you accept the movie's reality then its entirely self consistent.

its psychologically examining godhood, somewhat like dr manhattan's arc in watchmen, but more gradual

it's not great, but its worth a watch. pretty trippy near the end

also, it's 10% at any given time. all of the brain is used, just not all at once.
if it was more than 10% we'd all die from out brains overheating, think of it like overclocking a CPU

also ALSO this movie had serious Akira vibes to it. which is good

The movie turned pretty shitty soon. at 30% she could manipulate electronics at the other part of he world and was technically invincible. And the plot was literally that she didn't feel human and had no goal but not to just fade off. You didn't expect her to be in any dancer at any time right from where she took the blue stuff and that made the film unengaged.

I believe the term for it is a "seizure".

>> No.6702504

nobody but really smart people know this but there is actually a test which determines what percentage of your brain you use, it's called "the reynman test".
not to brag but, i use !91%! of my brain and as somebody who uses !91%! percent of his brain, i can tell you that it's true. i basically am neil degrace tyson actually.

I just took acid today and can describe my experience with this movie basically. The sudden connectedness she feels with nature and how everything before that wasn't nearly as fulfilling kept taking over my thoughts.

WE only use 33% of traffic lights

If Neil deGrasse Tyson is an example of a human being using 90-95% of its brain, our species doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell.
