Is it possible to genetically engineer humans to perfect our regenerative abilities so we heal properly instead of creating scar tissue.

Can we use genetic engineering to regrow limbs like small lizards?

>> No.6667834

Possibly. It's possible for scar tissue to regenerate as bone instead of skin or whatever it was before being damaged.

Pretty fucking scary.

Oh for fucks sake.

How many horrible diseases/disorders are there?

>Transhumanism is Nazism now
I mean yeah i'm a /pol/ish white supremacist but Transhumanism and Nazi eugenics are very different ideas.

>> No.6668089

So basically not having a child with a convicted felon or any other arbitrary trait really = nazi eugenics rite?

Yes, it's possible, there are species that have regenerative properties so it's only a matter of designing genome properly. Also younger children can regenerate fingertips after being cut off.

Yes it is possible. No we are not near that answer yet. We need to be able to make PluriPoetic Stem cellls and THEN ALSO somehow give them endocrine and paracrine signals (blood and nearby tissues) that mimick young instead of adult tissue. It's complex.

With gene therapy there's an infinite amount of possible diseases.

We would have to alter our genome in a way that affects how our body deals with injury. It would be very difficult and require inredibly immoral experiments.

It's evolution at work man, random genetic mutations (all these syndromes that 1 in 10,000 people can be born with).
