I'm interested in learning about Game Theory, but I've heard comments about how is irrelevant outside forgotten papers about economics. Is that real? are there ctual applications of Game Theory currently being used on science or engineering?

It's even mostly irrelevant inside economics.

Wow. A waste of time apparently. Thanks, anon.

Yeah it might be mostly irrelevant, but it's easy and kind of fun for a while.
BTW it has some application even in zoology, for example.

It's kind of a way of codifying the way we already make decisions. It is useful, for example, in playing games, but there are far too many variables for it to be useful, often, outside of artificial intelligence / cybernetics. Obviously it's not useful for designing trains / studying eels.

oh right I forgot, science is a highschool clique and not an institution based on evidence and testible hypotheses
