Can any of you bro's help me with the questions marked in red? I have a mid term on thursday and cant do half of this review paper the professor gave us. they look nothing like we did in class srs.

Doing the exercises goes against the point of having them in the first place.
Here's some advice (quite obvious but might help you get a fresh view on things) :

step 1 : put all the x outside fractions :
a.x/b+c.x/d -> (a/b).x + (c/d).x
step 2 : associate the x together :
(a/b).x + (c/d).x -> (a/b+c/d).x
step 3 : move everything to the other side of the equation to have "x = ..."

for more complex fractions - like 1/(a+x) - multiply by the term below until you get a simpler formulation

Now move your ass and solve the problems yourself

If it's just the fractions fucking with you just multiply the entire equation with the product of the denominators. In this case it looks like 4*5*8, so you end up with 32x-120x=320-20x, It's not pretty but at least it has no fractions.
