Massive pleb reporting in,

Tiffany is paid $8.05/h, plus 5% of her sales over $1000, for a 40-h work week. Suppose she sold $1800 worth of merchandise. Then she would earn $8.05(40) + 0.05(800) = 362

how do i write the relation between total pay for a 40-h work week and her sales (in function notation)

ur face when u contemplate how someone couldnt understand this

yes i know

>> No.6451529

if s>1000
f(s,h)=8.05*h+0.05(s-1000)
if s<1000
f(s,h)=8.05*h

it says it's f(s)=272 + 0.05(s)

>> No.6451542

>>6451534

Right, because it's (s-1000)*0.05...

= s*0.05 - 50 + 322 = 272
