it's illogical anyway- someone travelling back in time would have to basically magically appear somewhere. that's atoms and molecules magically showing up in places that are already occupied.
and moving in time wouldnt necessarily move you in space. so if you travel 6 months to the past, you appear in empty space, and earth is now on the other side of the sun, and you die

If future humans were ever to make contact with us it would most likely be humans from a different universe so they wouldn't disrupt their own timeline. I don't think we'll ever have contact with 'our' future selves. Likewise, when we invent time travel in the future, we will travel to someone else's universe so as not to disrupt our own timeline.
