The vanessa stuff in the pic related has nothing to do with the puzzle, and it was encrypted with some sort of algorithm but I do not believe anyone has found out what kind. If you can help us out, /fit/ will be ever in your dept and will totally help you tone up for summer.

It's RC4, input type is text but tell it to be hex input. You still need a decryption key which is first part of the actual puzzle.
He says it is base 64 so the original hex probably needs to be mod64 before decryption is applied. After decryption, you can try modding 26 and relating the numbers to the alphabet.

The other possibility is applying the base 64 to the hex after decryption but I don't know what you would do afterwards.

The Scooby guy implies only online tools are needed, to do what you mention we'd have to implement the CBC operations on each byte in a program. I doubt any of /fit/ are tech-savy enough to do that, hence it would remain an unsolvable puzzle, and the fact that Facebook users are even less savy, it clearly isn't that complex.

Atm it's just key guessing, and even CBC guessing on blowfish/AES etc.
