Abiogenesis is a hypothesis. Mendelian inheritance and molecular genetics are thoroughly proven theories. It is perfectly valid to teach molecular genetics as fact, but it is arguably inaccurate to mention abiogenesis as anything other than a line of investigation.

Evolution is not just a hypothesis, it is a theory. A theory that explains countless observable phenomena that is based on numerous experiments, individual facts, and observations.

In terms of reliability and truthfulness in science: theory>fact>hypothesis

Not even my former religious education teachers believed in creationism as stated in the bible.
Actually, I don't know a single person who does, even though I know some people who're seriously obsessed with the bible and god.
They said the bible is supposed to give us some reference and inspiration, it's all about personal interpretation and how we deal with it, to make our lifes better.
It doesn't matter much if evolution theory is right, they'd say. If it is, then God has created the forces and mechanisms behind evolution.
I guess they don't care much about science, because you can always put God somewhere as the "origin".
