This Area 51 is a joke, it's obviously a decoy to take away all the attention from the people with tin foil hats on something this useless. Somewhere else in the US is a true classified base where they might be doing illegal experiments or whatever you can think of.
And it's underground, not above ground prone to satellite surveillance you dumbfucks.

You're a fucking moron.

How old are you? I ask all of /sci/ this question. How naive are you people? They built area 51 half a century ago. They will have built more, especially since the location area 51 was compromised and open to spy satellites from around the world.

They'd probably go underground and I'd imagine the personnel would stay for extended periods to detract from any attention.

Dulce mexico is one possible underground base. If anyone's up for spelunking in the caves there I'm sure we could get into some real trouble, probably go missing and never turn up again.

Of course they have other bases.

If this were a chess game admitting area 51 existed is basically like moving a pawn away from the king-side. It's a weakness and acknowledges that the US are more than capable of lying about classified projects.

The point is that you expected aliens to be revealed. That's exactly why the US said that Area51 was designed for secret spy planes. In this day and age everything is satellite anyway. It's long been known that groom lake was used for testing planes, they chose that location because of the long runway that could be built there. It is an example of what /x/ would call disinfo, in order to deter thoughts of conspiracy. That's how you took it by 'expecting aliens or something big' when anyone with half a brain would have expected no more than acknowledgement of spy plane schematics.

Oh and it is a big point because up until now people (aka /sci/) have catechized tin foilers for saying the government had secret projects. Now it's been spelt out I think /sci/ needs to apologize to UFOlogists.

Let me ask you. Do you think Area 51, which is actively populated today with daily flights landing workers into the facility from a nearby airport, has been around for 50 years, is a constant site of construction-- and is a substantial source of government expenditure, do you think all they have to say about Area 51 is that it was the testing site of an outdated spy plane used during the cold war?

I just can't stand civilians. I can't stand /sci/ (or /x/ for that matter, they're shit). I can't stand the complacency people have as long as it doesn't affect their happiness people don't give a shit what goes on and are more than happy to criticize those who dare to ask questions.

for the largest time, before google maps, before the public had access to aerial photos, the government would have said that the base didn't exist. It's classified, but they deny it exists. Can't you see the discrepancy there? You fucking retard.

and that's also why you need to shut your whore mouth. Give it a rest, there are no aliens. Its an old facility that was used to experiment with aeronautical technology. The reason it was kept secret, well a fucking war was going on, you are going to build shit for the element of surprise, you need to keep it secret.

With the increasing pressure on US to fall in line with Soviets and other "EVIL" countries, they built several facilities to find a way to one-up each of them through technology.

All the equipment, experiments and shit has already been transported out and decomissiond decades ago. Its just the requirement that certain things need a specific period before they are declassified, such as a 14 year time gap. If you read the article on CNN its all there.

Now stop with this bullshit conspiracy theories.

This isn't really anything new though. I remember a few years ago, around 2005 or 2006 or so, it was revealed that the US government allowed wiretapping US citizens for anything mildly suspicious.

Even back then I remember people were saying shit like,

>Who cares? You have nothing to worry about as long as you're not doing anything illegal, or if you're an Arab and you have an uncle in Afghanistan. The government doesn't care about you having phone sex with your sister.

It's weird how people justify their government's actions.
