They'd probably go underground and I'd imagine the personnel would stay for extended periods to detract from any attention.

It's long been known that groom lake was used for testing planes, they chose that location because of the long runway that could be built there. With the increasing pressure on US to fall in line with Soviets and other "EVIL" countries, they built several facilities to find a way to one-up each of them through technology.

All the equipment, experiments and shit has already been transported out and decomissiond decades ago. Its just the requirement that certain things need a specific period before they are declassified, such as a 14 year time gap. If you read the article on CNN its all there.

This isn't really anything new though. I remember a few years ago, around 2005 or 2006 or so, it was revealed that the US government allowed wiretapping US citizens for anything mildly suspicious.

Even back then I remember people were saying shit like,
