The age of the universe has always been up for debate, retard.

In CERN's defense, they stated from the start that they thought those data points were faulty. The hooplah was the media's fault.

>"The universe is x amount of years old."
>Publish this everywhere in books, textbooks, and elsewhere.
>Le euphoric science enthusiasts pass it off as concrete infallible knowledge.
>New facts emerge.
>People question the strength of original assertion due to overzealous euphoric neckbeards and science popularizers.
>"THAT'S JUST SCIENCE BRO"

How is scientific reasoning any different to conspiracy theorists who dismiss objections in an ad hoc manner?

Most likely we are wrong about the age of the star.
But it is possible also that we are wrong about the age of the universe.

In any case, this doesn´t dismiss science in any way or give credit to religious nutjobs.
Get back to chomping down burgers and diet coke while reading the bible, americlap.

Who said science aims to be infallible? You're supposed to create a theory and try as hard as possible to falsify it. Didn't they teach you this in, what, 2nd grade?
