Aren't they supposed to believe that faith without evidence is virtuous or something?

Sometimes it's genetic and the baby won't form somewhere down the road. Sometimes it's more temporal/spatial, and the two species just never have the chance to meet and and fuck, even if they technically can have babies in the lab.

I'm sure you could impregnate a chihuahua with some big dog sperm, but it's uterus would explode or something. "Species" is just a man-made distinction anyway.

Hinduists (Hare-Krishnas) where I live they don't believe in evolution.
We also didn't go to the moon because "Prabhupad said so."

I know this because I was raised to believe in all the Vedas.

"Creation is by definition a divine miracle, an act of God which is outside of and above the physical laws He has established in the world. Therefore, scientists who believe in creation do not try to devise theories to explain how God created, for human beings cannot understand how God created. On the other hand, evolutionary scientists say that they are devising theories to explain the evolution of all life and that they are discovering natural processes or mechanisms which can evolve new plants and animals. So we say to them, "The burden of proof is on you. Come on, now, give us theories which really explain evolution, and show us the natural mechanisms or processes which can produce new designs and evolve new plants and animals."

Has evolutionary theory really explained evolution? No. Have they discovered any mechanism or process of genetics which can evolve anything really new. No, they have not. And, as long as this failure of evolutionary science continues, divine special creation continues to be an intellectually and scientifically viable belief for anybody, including scientists, to hold."

I was raised to believe in the Vedas, and if you were too, then you should know that the vedas aren't completely gnostic. Take the ideas on Creation for example. There's the whole Bhramic dream story, but also the following verse:

>Who verily knows and who can here declare it, whence it was born and whence comes this creation?
>The Gods are later than this world's production. Who knows then whence it first came into being?
>He, the first origin of this creation, whether he formed it all or did not form it,
>Whose eye controls this world in highest heaven, he verily knows it, or perhaps he knows not.

Seriously, the majority of Hindus I know are pretty much agnostic, my priest even once said to me that if what I see in the world is a contradiction of what is written or what he says, that I should scrap what is written in favour of what I see evidence for.

Prabhupad is a fucking tard. I have his book and I laughed my way through it.

he is, honestly, first comes the chapter on how modern science is bullshit, then he talks about his 'Love Vacuum' and 'suffering' which one can only imagine means his pain from using a dick pump.

>but rather that the people here, where I live, do.
Oh I see. Yeah I blame the brahmins. Religious leaders should be kept second to the Kshatriya like they used to be, not exalted so that their bullshit power games result in the ignorance of the people.

Thank fuck the Brahminic age is coming to an end and the religion is opening up again as people become more educated. We just need to collectively tell Prabutard and his type (like that afro headed fucktard sai baba) to kindly fuck off because they do not represent the majority of Hindus and actually do harm to the collective intellect of Hindus everywhere.

they may not believe in evolution but that's not necessarily a function of Hinduism in general.
The creation story in the Vedas does not lend itself to any particular view on evolution or science, other than whatever happened, divinities were involved.
Then again, there have been agnostic Hindus as well.

Gautambudh's reincarnation isn't the same as traditional 'mainstream' Hindu reincarnation.

In mainstream Hinduism, the 'soul' is preserved intact as 'Atman'. In Buddhism it is not. The soul reconstitutes between death and birth as a different soul.

Also, 'Hinduism' is just a collection of dharmic belief structures from the Subcontinent. There is no real 'Hinduism' as a religion. In fact, if you were to define 'Hinduism' as something, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism would have to be incorporated into 'Hinduism' too.

A better argument is:

''Evolution is an extremely powerful mechanism that doesn't give care about whether or not I believe in it. Unlike god, who, for some inexplicable reason, gives a massive shit that I believe in him even though he is all powerful."

>Religion in general is just poison.

There are many great religions out there. It's when people misuse other's devotion to god in order to gain power that causes faults, not the religions or its teachings. That's true with any social organization whether it be religion, government, businesses, schools, whatever.

Corruption is to blame.
