If time is considered as the 4th dimension, doesn't that mean moving 2D girls considered as 3d?

I believe /sci/ to be the most capable of answering this question.

It''d be considered 2 dimensions of space and 1 dimension of time.

So three dimensions in total?

Meaning I can claim that 2D is actually 3D?

>> No.5858357

2D refers to spacial dimensions.

Time is not a spacial dimension, therefore it's still 2D.
Also you're retarded because movement != time. Time is still occuring despite not any movement happening.

The D in 2D or 3D refers to spacial dimensions, commonly anyway. You'd have to declare your non-standard definition beforehand to anyone if you wanted to use it that way.

not really
the way we see it, the content of a frame doesn't move, it's a plain flat picture, 2d
the movie, which can only be played back by 3d objects can move, thus entering 4d(if that were time)

now, the beings inside the content of those frames, the characters we identify, live according to their own perspective in a normal 3d world the way we know it from reallife.

So no, 2d is still 2d
while a CGI cartoon character is 3d
while reallife women are 4d and plausible more d's
the picture of a reallife woman can be considered 2d, even though the identify of the content of that photo is reallife aka 4d and more.

Thanks for the answer /sci/

If a 2D sun made of ice hit a 4D sun made of lava, what would happen?

>> No.5858365

Isn't both 3D live-action and 2D animation the same in our eyes since we view both as 2D projections? The only thing that may change is that you may get a greater/smaller "illusion of depth". In reality, the only difference is that the one was drawn.

They aren't alive. They're just pictures anon.

movements still need time for happening. Ergo it's not retarded.

What do factorials have to do with any of time?

>Not realizing everything is actually 1D

I forgot how idiotic /sci/ was at this time of day

>> No.5858427

"It" usually refers to it at one point in time.
It has a 3D world volume.

>> No.5858431

It is in 2+1 dimensions.

This is not the same as 3+0 dimensions.

The universe we live in is 3+1.

>Not realizing everything is actually 1D

Explain?

>> No.5858536

Yes, what you see is 2-dimensional. And the imaginary world that anime characters live in is clearly 3-dimensional. If it wasn't, the characters would be incapable of walking in front of or behind another character or object.

>> No.5858548

We only consider spatial dimensions.
Because no letter rhymes with 4 well enough to replace 3DPD.
Maybe... 4D-poor-D.

Excellent question. A PhD in relativistic astrothermodynamics is required to answer.
