My Dad's a geologist for Saudi Aramco. He's been doing it for 30 years, now. He always tells me about how he hates his job, and that he wished he'd become a musician, instead.

A friend of mine was gonna be a geologist.
My dad told me that geologists get paid mad dosh, so it was a wise choice.

He showed me some of the math problems he had during the start of the first semester, it was something about matrices that i hadn't even heard of before.

He quit some time later because it was 2hard.

i wonder if i could do it...

I know geophysics is tougher, there are more physics courses, usually more chemistry. It's kind of like Surgeons vs MDs, those who like to work outside all the time and work with their hands (geologists) and those who actually understand the material and add to the theory (geophysicists)

Because Amelicans still think they can make $100K/yr flipping houses instead of working for the money. Ref: Casey Konstantin Serin.

>> No.5800574

>>5800488
From wikipedia:
>Serin decided to quit working full-time in order to pursue a career in house flipping as a means of earning an income and building wealth. In an eight-month period beginning in October 2005, Serin purchased eight houses in four southwest U.S. states, and then began blogging about the foreclosure[2] process on the properties...
...
...
> he was unable to resell. In time, five of the eight properties foreclosed.[3]
>The dubious nature of Serin's real estate transactions, coupled with his subsequent blogging about the affair, have led to Serin's name becoming strongly associated with the subprime mortgage crisis.

Uh-huh, good point, in Bizarro-land
