Maybe, if you have a PhD in the extremely-narrow sub-section of a part the problem they're working with, and 20 years of experience working that exact job.

Just got accepted for Nano Engineering at UCSD as a transfer student. I'm not sure if it's a great path to take since the industry is still sort of young so I'm taking a gamble that the field will be larger by the time I graduate.
