I don't know if this is the right place, but here I go: I'm a shit student. I'm being crushed by the amount of information I have to take in, and I lack a system or technique for doing so. Can anyone here help me with study skills? Time management? Concentration? Drugs? Any help would be much appreciated

Study at the library for a good 3-5 hours every day.

Seriously, I used to study at home all the time and I noticed I'd be doing irrelevant shit more often than actually studying.

If your workload is legitimately too much for you thn you need to slow down and take fewer classes, if the choice is between graduating late because you went slow and steady or graduating late because you flunked a bunch of classes the choice should be obvious.

Most likely your college/hs offers a writing/tutor center which will be able to help you out with the whole organization thing.

All I can say for drugs is you really shouldn't be developing a crutch this early in life unless you feel you have serious problems, in which case see a doctor

I used to be a "shit" student too. Then I started actually studying and applying myself.

Seriously, there is no secret. Start everything a week earlier than you think necessary (at least). Study every day. Make an active effort at understanding. Work practice tests, book problems, homework problems...

I wholeheartedly second this advice. Put yourself in an environment where basically all you can do is study, free of distractions. Works wonders for me.

If OP is in college and legitimately needs caffeine each day then that will just make things even harder in the future.

A person who uses tools correctly doesn't just throw them all at the first problem he encounters

Pretty much this. Whenever I study a few days ahead, keep up with the material during the semester, etc. I ace the exam, whenever I try to cram a day ahead after not doing jackshit, I fail.

Example:
Last 2 weeks I had 4 exams (I'm taking 20 credits). First week I had 3 in a row, calculus III, linear algebra, and physics II. I got an 80% on the linear algebra and calculus III and a 70% on the physics II. I studied for none of these exams until the day before and had fallen behind in all three classes.

The week after I had a differential equations exam (yes, taking differential equations and calculus III at the same time). I was pissed about my other exams, so I studied basically 2-3 hours on saturday then about 2 hours on sunday. I got a 98% on this exam, despite not being 100% up-to-date before the weekend.

You just have to study man. This means not browsing facebook during study time. Also, the BEST thing you can do is just always be up-to-date, that way you have to study less when the exam comes. By this I mean, basically pretend you might have to take a final exam on the class at any moment. So make sure at any time you can do everything in the class you've done up to that point. This way you spread out your studying instead of just cramming before a test. Go over all of your notes for a class maybe once a week. Learn anything you've just gone over that you immediately do not understand.

so a schizophrenic, depressed person, and blind people shouldn't need medication or a seeing eye dog

makes sense
