Just how far are we from artificial wombs anyway?

protip: women will ensure men are obsolete, not the other way around. Scientists are beta and will do whatever women ask, even against their own interests.

Artificial wombs will appear three weeks after never, which is just one week after the male contraceptive.

won't cloning be way easier?
or are you interested specifically in artificial creation that mimics nature?

Did you miss /pol/? They're right beside /sci/ so I can see how that would happen.

Not interested in cloning just external gestation.

The only reason I'm asking is a friend of mine wife had a baby complained constantly about crappy being pregnant was.

You know that cloning still requires wobs.

Really far actually. It might just turn out that AI is easier, in which case it won't matter anyway.

I personally am not a fan of new reproductive technologies because I think it would be best if there were no more new people. Just stop having kids and all the worlds problems will eventually solve themselves.

But I have no doubt that scrupulous scientists will try and clone more tortured slaves this way.

You've clearly given this a lot of thought.

Actually I have. Not being born in the first place is the best that can happen to you, you never have to suffer through anything (inluding the agony and dread of death), and you never miss anything.

Sadly, people will continue popping new victims into existence, thoughtlessly.

You sure this isn't /pol/? because some of the responses...

Yep, those of use with children didn't give the process any thought whatsoever. If only we'd muted one of the Superbowl commercials and taken the time to understand the world as deeply as you have.

That's actually pretty accurate, except that I would have written us instead of use.

Dragging a screaming infant into a world of violence is child abuse and in itself an act of violence. No sane and thinking person would do such a thing, but alas, using contraception requires a certain minimal IQ.

Enjoy rationalizing your children's suffering and death, which you caused by thoughtlessly shitting them onto this prison planet.
