If you're trying to find Pi why not just divide the circumference by the diameter? :/

Continue writing my PhD thesis, should finish around April, then wait for reviews, get degree maybe September/October.

On Friday finished translating publications (native lang. is not English), now I have to connect all the parts and fill the missing calculations.

Saturday - wrote additional 6 pages in LaTeX to the final PDF...

calc 3 midterm is coming up. main focus of my studying will be squeeze theorem proofs, ins n outs of differentiability/chain rule/directional derivative, and getting familiar with all the definitions/proofs in those topics.

got the next week off (reading week) and the break is really sorely needed

just keeping it real

$y=\lim_{x\to\x_0}f(x)$ for $x_0$ a limit point of the domain $D$ means $\forall m \exists n$ such that $|x-x_{0}|<\frac{1}{n}$, $x\not=x_0$, and $x\in D$ implies $|f(x)-y|<\frac{1}{m}.$

Putting together a new tower. You like, /sci/?

>> No.5537171

Was a a conference last week.

Work I should have done today: choose a few talks among those I attended to, and prepare a few slides for each talk so that I can give a brief sum-up in my lab's next group meeting.

Work I actually did today: choose the talks I am going to sum up...

I think the fan goes on the CPU, not the case.

You put a fan on the CPU and the tower, you may want to dissipate the warm air inside the tower.

The case's fan doesn't have a huge heat sink like that because it's only supposed to give an airflow. Having a heat sink here is completely useless if you think even for a second about the heat flow it involves. Just open any god damn computer and you'll see that the CPU fan has a big heat sink while the fans that aren't right on some "important" component have no sink and only contribute to the airflow. The only fan larger than 80mm that has a heat sink is the CPU fan unless you have a gaming graphic card (in which case it may even have two 80mm fans with some kind of heat sinks).

Is that some mother fucking LISP?

I love LISP so much I wrote my own interpreter for it and then wrote my own text editor in it and then wrote my own operating system with my own text editor with my own version of LISP
