OP I was going into CS/Info systems but then I realized the job stability in that market is atrocious and 20 years down the line there will be hundreds of thousands of unemployed code monkeys/sys admins/etc.

Man, you are going to be mad when that bubble bursts.

No thanks, I don't want to be 40yrs old and lose my job to an Indian 2000 miles away.

Have fun getting outsourced though.

Is there any evidence of this being a bubble that's about to burst?

Unemployment Rate for Recent College Graduates: 11.7 percent"

I don't even care. Computer science makes me happy.

I'd rather be a poor computer scientist working part-time in McDonalds (and writing compilers in my spare time) than a rich Chemist.

>> No.5512051

>Computer science
Never seen that. I know computer engineering and computational mathematics, but never saw a scientist studying computers.

>> No.5512053

I literally don't care.
I enjoy designing buildings and as long as it pays a living wage, enough for a family, I'm happy.
I wouldn't take a computer science based job over my own profession even if it was double the pay.
If I wanted money, I would have become an investment banker.

People who sacrifice career enjoyment for money are fucking retarded.
