Wassup /sci/

Given: p - 2 = x; p = 18 - 3x

I know that x = 4

Now how do I determine the coordinates of the market equilibrium point algebraically.

And how do I graph each pair on one set of coordinate axes, indicating the market equilibrium point.

>> No.5477507

no idea, but p = 6

Thanks.

Couldn't you just graph them as basic linear equations? I may have missed something, but I have a feeling you're just over-thinking it.

I think you are right.

But then, how do I determine the coordinates of the market equilibrium point algebraically.

uhh, its been a while since I've done this shit, but wouldn't it just be (x,p)?

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong

I think it's:
If p=18-3x
P=18-3(p-2)
P=18-3P-6
4P=24
P=24/4
P=6

Therefore if (6)-2=x, 4=x
P=6, x=4
