Multiculturalism implies a variety of cultures and culture is to a great extent linked with ethnic traits and realistic stereotypes.

Also from an anthropologic/linguistic/historian perspective cultural blending would drive less dominant cultural traits/groups into extinction rendering our attempts to comprehend humanity's eaarly cultural origins and evolution hopeless.
