Seriously? He was a excellent scholar, that knew how to take notes with maximum detail. But that is it.

His inventions, while ahead of their time, never really worked. Saying he invented tanks and helicopters is like saying George Lucas invented light sabers. Imaging is not inventing.

As for scientific breakthroughs, I can't think of anything worth mentioning. No, physical phenomena, no mathematics, nothing. The best ,one could say, are his anatomic drawings. Some of them were the first ever done but was just a question of very little time until someone else had done them instead, as anatomy was a very hot topic at the time.

Voltaire the greatest writer and criticizer and politicizer, man. Greater than Shakespeare, Swift, Byron, and Poe. "______ but I'll defend to death your right to say _____," and all that. The greatest spit upon a king's and formality's face if ever one was spat.

Greater than Hume and Locke. He gives us the words to relax, and be not tense. He's like the Keeper of the Code in the order of the nine pirate lords. He's just there, for moral support, to remind us to have fun, to keep us on task with truths, and he's a bro.

The issue with this model is that there is no definitive criteria for assessing the worth of a specified individual.

I propose the following criteria for a more simplistic means of assessing it (this criterion can be edited in whatever manner necessary, as long as one is ultimately applied--rather than aimlessly guessing):

Innovativeness (1-9)

If the work is original in idea, and doesn't work predominately off of previously established principles or sources, it's significantly greater of an achievement.

Genius IQ (1-9)

The genius aspect is an obvious assessment of one's mental capacity to synthesize abstract concepts and explain them in, often, down-to-earth terms.

Influence (1-18)

This is of the greatest importance. Whether it is significance in a particular field or not, the influence is what separates the obscure individuals from the world-changers.

This may include practical value. As disputable as this may be, practical worth is among the most important factors--even in mathematics the influence of a particular finding can provide significant insight into its potential applications

Troll Tier: 1-6
Shit Tier: 6-12
Low Tier: 12-18
Mid Tier: 18-24
Top Tier: 24-30
God Tier: 30-36

Please edit this as you please; but I only propose this criteria to make our observations less arbitrary.

No recorded successful treatments, forgery, shit methodology, bullied patients, only politely respected by psychoanalysts and faced as historical value at best.

Also, in psychology, Jean Piaget should go in Low Tier and Steven Pinker in midtier.
