You can extract your own DNA and hold it in your hand. But you will only see white material, not the helix.

1. Put raspberries in ziploc bag
2. Mash raspberries
3. Put small amounts of water, detergent and meat tenderizer in bag and mix
4. Pour solution into test tube/cup/whatever
5. Let sit for a few minutes
6. Drip isopropyl alcohol down side of test tube
7. Wait for DNA to float up to top
8. ????
9. Profit!
