Getting ready: I recommend getting in a normal sleeping schedule.
For example sleep at 11:00-12:00 wake up at 8:00-9:00.
Day 1 (Night):Once every two weeks pull a all-nighter and slam all the information that you need to learn into your brain.
Of course you won't be able to remember a thing the next day.
Day 1 (Morning-Next day): Just sleep that whole entire day, let your brain organize the information you slammed into your brain the night before.
Day 2: Start reviewing the information you learned two nights before.
You will see a resemblance in your understanding and you will be able to learn that content much faster because you are already acquainted with the information.
I don't know if this will work for you depending on the level of studies you are doing.

Studying should about reading the material as fast as one can retain the knowledge in the long-term. Nemonics I'm sure play a role in this as well as techniques used for speed reading, focus is obviously another important factor. I'm just not sure where to find a good source that includes all of these variables.

It also depends on what type of learner you are, whether it be visual, auditor, kinesthetic, etc.

Best way to study: Find people who are good at studying and study with them.

All-nighter is never a good idea. OP should keep a steady sleeping pattern especially on weekends. Make sure you eat and exercise properly and have a environment that's free off distractions. Just make sure you have these basic things (sleep, exercise, nutrition) in order before even thinking about something too advanced.
