Hey sci,

I've gotta develop a smartphone interface based on a zombie survival guide for a class in my degree. Part of this assignment requires me to gather data. So here's a questionnaire. I'd appreciate any help. It shouldn't take too long to fill out.

Many thanks in advanced, I don't really have any science based images, so I'll post some futurescape wallpapers.

Cheers

>how the fuck can you research a zombie apocalypse?

There is plenty of documentation in movies, role-playing games, video games, board games, anime, manga, and now even some series.
If you want to do your thing about something unreal, why not add a proper documentation based on unreal media? I mean, if I see a properly written doc with many references to movies to backup every "fact", I'll be a happy teacher.

1. What would you consider most important for a survival app?

1.1. Why? (Optional)
Hardest to get. Would soon become a resource with an astronomical cost as well, worst comes, you could buy protection. If not, you have health at your disposal. (Hopefully also knowledge)
2. Which method of navigation would be better suited for an app?
c. Swipe. how about Sweeping? Though I might not really understand the question.

3. How much information would you want to see per page?
none of the options, as much as can be put in without making a mess or unappealing. Organization and menus over cramming everything on screen.
4. What features would you expect to see in a Zombie Survival Guide? (optional)
Ideas for safe shelter, food, medication, protection, and banding together with people who are safe.

1. What would you consider most important for a survival app?
a. Maps (as long as they're offline): paper maps are not very common anymore, so combined with the compass on the smartphone it can be useful.
d. Medical section: Basic first aid is always important, plus some common drugs, maybe how to set a broken bone, how to sew stuff up...

If you can only choose one, Medical.

2. Which method of navigation would be better suited for an app?
a. Buttons: straightforward UI

3. How much information would you want to see per page?
b. Medium/some: probably a small summary for a quick, easy access to the most important info, plus some more precise, denser content if needed.

4. What features would you expect to see in a Zombie Survival Guide? Assuming not everyone is familiar with zombies, relevant data: different types of zombies (fast/slow), how to eliminate them efficiently, different types of infection/transmission and prevention...

5. How would you expect the layout to be on a Smartphone?
As clear and easy to navigate as possible. You should be able to access the relevant data as fast as possible.
