Every time a scientist does an experiment that confirms c as a fundamental limit, I die a little inside.

Every time some theoretical mathemetician proposes a workaround, I smile a little until a physicist explains why that solution doesn't apply in reality, another little bit of me dies.

However, as long as we don't understand the laws of physics perfectly, there's a chance - however slim - that some brilliant egghead will find a way that won't get shot down. The part of me that wants to hop in my personal spaceship and go visit some Orion slave girls awaits that event.
