What's your opinion on graph theory?

Seems we have an expert on our hands.

Its fucking vertical man!

My opinion on graph theory, if anyone would care to hear me: is that graph theory is a series of theories on graphs, about edges, vertices, lattices and paths. Finding circuits and sets of points on a map using those series of theories on graphs.

zzz
I had to spend 3 months on it last year. Graph theory fucking sucks.

Wait, seriously?

The 7 bridges problem is pretty much the first thing you come across, I knew about it before I knew what eulerian meant

If you can't do graph theory which is probably the most intuitive thing in discrete math you should just stop. Go back to your arts degree.

97%, and the mark down was for not writing out my workings on one of those fucking primms things

Graph theory is all right. Until you realise all the ways in which you can actually apply it to a shit ton of different problems. Then it becomes WHOAAA DUDE tier.

>> No.4505505

>>4505503
And then you realise that all of those problems are useless and you could have used google maps. And you feel bad for wasting your time instead of studying an actual field like calculus.

And then you realise that you are a retard because graph theory is applicable to a much bigger range of problems than just pathing routes on a map.

You go, girl. Don't let the mean internet man get you down.

Even path planning alone has a huge amount of applications, like planning paths on a microchip and planning paths for robots to go through a room or self driving cars. A vast amount of AI work is path planning work
