intimate knowledge of these comics is a prerequisite of geek arguments. The ability to properly cite a supporting comic is grounds for automatic victory in any nerd-sparring.

People seem to forget that scientists have a sense of humour as well and that some of us like reading webcomics, and that people that enjoy talking about science will also enjoy talking about nerdy webcomics.
Such as Dr McNinja.

Fact: In the last few years XKCD has been getting worse.

except its pretty obvious. smbc is consistently funny and original despite competing with xkcd's legacy. xkcd on the other hand has just stagnated in contrived references with little semblance of humor.

though you are free to have your opinion.

[blacktext] its just wrong olololo [/endblacktext]

SMBC used to be awesome. Then like, 3 years ago he got into science and shit and he became horrible.

Its like he got so blinded that he couldnt make jokes anymore, just science references.

>> No.4463354

I think we need a webcomic tier list right about now.

More like "I want to appear nerdy" tier.

The only two science-related comics I find consistantly amusing are SMBC and PhD Comics (although updates on the latter are pretty damn rare)

xkcd was great when I started reading it. Now, 5 years later, its awful. Maybe I just got more mature, but I feel like there really were some gems back then. Little bobby tables and such
