OP, if you really don't want to be a virgin, there's a simple solution to this, go to one of those "adult friendship sites."

You will probably get laid, but you will probably get laid by crazy. You will also probably get herpes too.

These websites are best avoided at all costs, even if you are still not laid and finished defending.

However, this is not to say that the odds aren't in favor, if you just start dating women randomly, the odds of you getting laid increase. By a factor of huge. I don't recall exact numbers, but 30% first date.
