Hello /sci/

You're my new home for the next 8 months.

So, err.. What do you do around here?

>> No.4428009

We discuss the physical properties of liquids

>> No.4428012

Math, science, ontology...

>> No.4428014

>>4428009
What about math?

How are you at integration?

>>4428012
I'm a bit of a newfriend, what's ontology?

>> No.4428017

>>4428014
It's the study of existence itself, what it means "to be".
Wikipedia is a good thing to have.

>> No.4428019

We used to discuss EK, comets' properties, turtles and spirits, but no one likes those things anymore :(

>> No.4428024

>>4428019
Not all have turned their back on the Queen.

>> No.4428025

>>4428017
If Wikipedia were to simply 'not be', then what would become of ontology itself?

With that being said, then how does organic material die? (I.e. living micro-organisms).

If you were to believe in something along the lines of everything returning to the Earth, how when you die, you become part of the ground itself (compost as it were), what happens to the personality and 'spirit', if you want to call it that, of the organism? Does it decompose as well?

This shit's interesting.

>Please respond.

What's that?

Sometimes we Also make a religion troll thread.

The Queen will rise again, I know it. We just need to keep praying for our true Christian Lord to make her see the way.

The best tripfriend that has ever posted on /sci/. Loved by many, unfairly mistreated by most.

What made him so great.

Elaborate,meng.

SHE, EK is a SHE

She was great because all her posts were full of content, and she made a lot. She's the second top poster of /sci/, the first being Anonymous.

>> No.4428043

>>4428042
Oh.

That's interesting and all but - can we discuss ontology please?

>Inb4 you have no respect for thy Queen.

>> No.4428045

Please never post facts or logical arguments. /sci/ doesn't like these.
If you have opinions on the other hand, especially opions that are irrational and based on illogical reasoning, then feel free to spam them all over the board.

Well, we can discuss ontology, or we can discuss Messeth, if you want to learn about it.

Never heard of it, enlighten me.

>> No.4428055

Messeth is a demon that came out of my television one night when I tried to summon spirits with a ouija board, according to some stuff I read on /x/. He still lives in my television, but /sci/ doesn't believe me.

what did Messeth look like?

Messeth doesn't sound very /sci/ related, that's coming from someone who never frequents here.

Ontology please.

Why are you here and not grabbing drinks with your spirit-friend.

Also, how do you know it's name is Messeth when you don't even know what it looks like?

Your story is full of holes, brah.

Implying you don't sound the like the /b/tard you are: immature and uncreative, mentally operating on the level of a child.

>> No.4428084

>>4428081
>brah
Oh EK, it's you! I'm so glad that you're back, /sci/ is boring without you.

I know it's Messeth because that's a name of a demon on /x/

>> No.4428089

>>4428081
>Your story is full of holes

So is the story of particle physics or the story of evolution. Science cannot exist without a god of the gaps.

>> No.4428091

>>4428084
So you just took a random demon's name and applied it to your television rat.

Nice.

I'm thinking of doing a major in pharmacy, but I hate having to serve old people who don't appreciate me.

What would industrial pharmacy involve?

>> No.4428092

>>4428089
See: >>4428029

>> No.4428095

>>4428092
No religion here. A "god of the gaps" is a philosophical, merely deist construct to underline the shortcomings of science, not to be confused with ritualized worship of a deity.

>> No.4428099

>>4428091
Industrial pharmacy primarily involves slave labor for captialist enterprise. Scientific endeavour is secondary.

>> No.4428105

>>4428095
Don't take this the wrong way but in the way you type out each of your posts, you give of this distinct feeling of insecurity.

As if you're trying to hide behind a wall of irrelevant words.

See:>>4428099

Would you personally (i.e. not referring to what you think your internet alias would say) think being a communal pharmacist would be any better?

Of course though - when anyone with a masters in pharmacy gets enough money, they open their own pharmacy - but I mean strictly dispensing.

>> No.4428123

>>4428105
It's not my words that are irrelevant, it's my entire posts.
Yet still you are asking someone, who you accuse of being insecure, about his opinion. Does my opinion matter in any way?
