Is terraforming Mars possible?

>> No.4410391

It doesn't break any laws of physics; but its not feasible with today's technology or anything we are likely to have within the next century.

>> No.4410403

I think the biggest problem with terraforming mars is actually getting shit to mars

With our current tech, in 500 years.
I have no source.

I know there is life of bacteria that can live over 800 years without any food (long sleep) and with extreme temperatures that you would never see on Mars.

It is possible to contaminate Mars with life which i think we already done. But sending humans to live? Not really

>dead magnet core
>no intergalactic radiation protection (heavy particles that could makes us bleed out of nowhere) that would bomb us tiny rocks
>no atmosphere
>no solar radiation protection
>mammals dna would not resist longer than 400 years until they become failing, like mars generation would be weaker than terra generations

Also any sort of liquid water would disappear into the space. So melting/exploring underground frozen water is not useful. Unless you can actually bring a metal factory to Mars to start expanding protected area and adding frozen water facilities there is no hope to "terraforming" Mars.

>Fungus can be our medicine, food, and chemistry labs but they require water. They don't necessary require light so...
>no

Very expensive, but possible. We have to think long-term here, but humans are to stupid to do that.
