Last time I checked. IQ has been going up in most countries no matter their economic state. As developed and undeveloped countries do a better job of feeding and educating their populous the average intelligence goes up. I doubt it is mere coincidence that the countries with the least developed infrastructure tend to have the lowest IQ's. Jumping to the conclusion that it is all determined by race is not good science.

Race is the goddidit of socioeconomics. It's the conclusion that requires the least thought and can be used to "explain" practically any difference between peoples.

First off, I'm merely pointing out that there could be definite bias, and I believe that it is a reasonable belief. I never said he was outright wrong.

Second, I would like to point out that while there may be studies that show that Africans are less intelligent, I would also call into question what "intelligence" these tests are studying. So while geneticists studying the effects of genetics on personality is one thing, the public taking action based on those findings is entirely another. In fact, until a complete roadmap of all the various genes can be built there is absolutely no value to public policy at all.

Additionally, as statisticians will attest, the mean is a poor indicator of whats really going on, so while Africans may have statistically lower average IQ that says almost nothing about the IQ of a single African or small group of Africans.

I could point out that, quite simply, the fact that sure, maybe people of africa have a lower IQ. So what? From what I know, most of the africans are more concerned with basic necessities like staying alive, and that being a few IQ points smarter is far less important than being able to survive longer.

Surviving, I might add, a lot of problems caused by the western world. Like the diamond trade.
