I respect comp sci/engineering. There are actually some outstanding things in the field, but I'm too lazy to scrounge up links

Troll answer: /sci/ does not respect any major that isn't math or physics (the hardest science)

Real answer: People within /sci/ tend to be majors of, or interested in physical sciences, math, and engineering. People on 4chan tend to be narcissistic and self-important and will deny all logic to stand by their guns in self-promotion. So, combining these two factors, what you're going to hear is a bunch of self-important narcissists tell you that anything that isn't physics or math (or chemistry or engineering sometimes) is a waste of time and life. But at the end of the day, when you eliminate the trolls, I don't think individuals care too much what your major or career is, so long as you can have a decent discussion involving science.

If you are using this as a basis for choosing your major, you really need to re-think yourself.
