I'm not completely sure, I am guilty of 4, although it has been well over a year since I've had intercourse. I spend most of my time reading textbooks or perusing /sci/ for amusement and occasionally to correct what I perceive to be just stupid, and not trolling (I can usually tell). Perhaps there should be a maximum number of these criteria prior to ousting someone, or possibly a spectrum, like with autism.

Do you find it ironic that, merely because of the existence of a website (and, ultimately, of a ridiculous copypasta), you claim you are fat to offset the fact that you exercise instead of exercising to offset the fact that you are fat?

i don't exercise to lose weight. i have shit metabolism and the only way i can lose weight is to decrease my food intake to about 1500 calories per day (i'm 6'3 and about 250lbs right now.)

i lift weights, and made peace with being fat, although i do drop to about 220/230lbs for summer.

And this thread has nothing to do with math or science. Frankly, I'm tired of seeing this copypasta. Not every intelligent person who is interested in math and science is a fat, lazy, friendless virgin. Quite to the contrary, in my physics and mathematics courses, there are very few people who are not in decent shape and gregarious. I have a social life, attend parties, am not a virgin, and exercise, although I am not a woman, I don't currently have a girlfriend, I only like certain sci-fi shows and movies, but don't inherently like the sci-fi genre as a whole (same with anime, and I don't understand when people like an entire genre like that, it's as if they're trying to convince themselves they found the perfect artistic medium that makes everything good), moreover, I abhor pop-sci crap, and I attend a fairly decent university with a well-respected physics faculty of (mainly) astrophysicists (though since I'm into theoretical physics, this wasn't the best choice for me, admittedly, I basically took what I could get in this regard).

>>4293555
I realize, of course, that this is a troll thread, but I'm just fucking tired of seeing it.

Global
3. Do not post the following outside of /b/: Trolls, flames, racism, off-topic replies, uncalled for catchphrases, macro image replies, indecipherable text (example: "lol u tk him 2da bar|?"), anthropomorphic ("furry"), grotesque ("guro"), or loli/shota pornography.

/sci/ - Science & Math

1. All science and math related topics welcome.
2. Homework threads will be deleted, and the poster banned.
3. No "religion vs. science" threads.

None of these are enforced, they are violated all the time, and it fucking ruins this board. Yes, I'm mad.

I lost my virginity.

I am a transhumanist and futurist and a sci fi fan.

I failed out of university due to my severe social anxiety and ADHD-PI which made me never attend classes and not do anything.

I changed my major from Philosophy, Engrish, Computer Science, and Psychology and then settled on English I think.

I don't spend that much time here though because this board has gotten even shittier than it was at its inception.

/lit/ is superior.

I also go to /tv/, /co/, and occasionally /g/, /mu/, and this shithole.

You are all pseudo-intellectuals and I feel better about my own intellect whenever I come here.

Implying Biology=Soft Science

Go fuck yourself. Hard. You shallow brained twat piece of shit. Soft science my ass. You insert a fucking vector of DNA into a cell, clone, and culture, altering its genome you asinine fool. Computer science is a softer science than any biology, there is no method applied. Jesus christ I'm getting trolled hard, but fuck me, you've released every ounce of anger in me.

>> No.4293812

>>4293809
Yeah I agree. Also biology still has many mysteries to unravel, but computer science doesn't.

>> No.4293818

>>4293812
Yeah actually I'm doing research on epigenetic effects and neurological effects of environmental stressors. The collaboration of cognitive psychology and biology into neuroscience stands to elucidate the mechanisms of human consciousness in the coming future. Very exciting times indeed. Whereas, my roommate is a CS guy, and he codes apps. Discover mechanisms of consciousness = making an app? Doesn't really satisfy my curiosity.

>> No.4293833

>>4293818
I think coding has more to do with finding ways to solve problems rather than making actual important discoveries. In most areas of science, of course, we are eager to see advances in technology towards our goals, but when it comes to being a programmer, the last thing you want to deal with is learning a new coding language, even if it's way better than the one you're used to.

The fact that a new era of coding languages hasn't come around yet is evident of the stubbornness of coders. Instead of object-based languages, we should have languages with object eco-systems.
