One thing I know for sure: I want my calculator's batteries to last for months at the very least, years if possible. Does it mean the display has to be that bad? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure that a Galaxy Nexus' display drains battery life much faster.

That being said, I don't use calculators anymore, so to be really honest, I don't give a fuck about their battery life. I go with WolframAlpha, Pari/GP and Matlab. It's not like I don't have a computer with me when I'm working.

They overcharge for pile of shit calculators because of educational standards. TI see's their calculator used in almost every textbook and shit so they have the upper hand and charge $140 for something that probably costed $10 to manufacture.
