how can be a sphere?

>> No.4284154

Interesting idea, it would be good for cryptographic problems that require large amounts of number crunching, but not so much for the more detailed stuff we generally use computers for.

A bit is the difference between two possibilities, for example, in an 8 horse race you need 3 bits to communicate the winner, a pbit simply allows that to be communicate as one bit, but is more susceptible to noise. Larger pbits allow for larger numbers but increased susceptibility to noise.

For precise application like communication (like an image board) the maximum size of a pbit is 2, making it a standard bit.

yeah,
α²+β²=1 == x²+y²=1
It's a circle

And WTF is a Pbit? Probabilistic bit, p(0)+p(1)=1?

>> No.4284269

>>4284131

Ok, let me try.

A bit has two states, one and zero, and a Pbit is a range of values bounded by one and zero.

Then the qubic is something I won't try to understand until I can grasp the mathematics behind QM because you know what they say: If you don't understand the math, you're a pop-sci guy talking shit.

The sphere is called a "Bloch sphere", I'm not going into the full mathematical details of SU(2) representations and crap like that - just think of |0> as the north pole and |1> as the south pole. In QM you can write a superposition-state as the linear combination of the two with complex parameters alpha and beta. You normalize that state so it again has the same value as a pure state |0> and |1> and voila, you got yourself a goddamn ball parametrized by the complex coefficients.

circle in C², which is like a 4D 3-sphere since α,β are in C: a²+b²+x²+y²=1. But since multiplying by any number z in C s.t. |z|=1 doesn't change the normalization of the wave functions, multiply it by e^-i*Arg(α) and we can reduce the equation to α²+x²+y²=1 which is just a sphere.

i know i was jesting infinity is infinity.
what does the extra 2 dimensions say about the possibillity of outcome.
or is it only an extra dimension modeled on the plane of a sphere to represent cyclic behaviour. a deformed rectangle if you will. disregard this i suck cocks it is 2 dimensions curved into three. i dont know i am just a cunt talking is supposition of actual intelligence.

Yeah, I've taken Group/Lie theory and SU(2) is still not a 3D sphere. In fact the only "sphere" that can be made into groups are S¹ (circles) and S³ (hypersphere/glomes).

it is also a place for most people who aren't braindead inbred hicks. There is exactly one (!) french word on the image, and even if you don't speak french, like me, you would recognize the word "Etats" from the famous saying of Louis XIV, which I means "state".
