Someone told me that "in a truly politically world, we'd have to be considerate and respectful of a persons right to racist and prejudice." Is this even true at all?

And I'm asking /sci/ because I want an answer that isn't anecdotal or testimonial.

what is that exactly?
you're speaking of morals, which are man made and discussed in philosophy. There are no easy answers, but some natural guidelines. Like one could/should build a society where sexual interaction with children is rejected, due to the observation that kids can't protect their own. Etc. Even in an anarchy, some "rules" feel natural, wouldn't you say? Regarding your points, you'd have to find out/specify how that "racism" or "prejudice" affects other people and how that can work out with the (necessary) moral structure of society.

well i guess if it has no impact on society, then those sort of views are tolerable.

but if racism and prejudice affect peoples lives then i would doubt they belong in any country that
calls itself civilised.

ie if 4channers were contributing members of society then i would be worried.

unless they are pc irl and have some moral fiber in there bodies
