Guys... guys...

What if, every few minutes, the entire universe instantly cools down to absolute zero, then instantly thaws after a period of time?

We could be entering something like stasis for thousands of years at a time and not even realizing it. You could have just been made a human statue when you walked to the bathroom a while ago.

Cooling something doesn't stop gross movement (e.g. if I took a cannonball and fired it at you, and then froze it, it isn't going any slower).
