I study programming for Uni and its the ONLY TASK I can focus on for HOURS without a break.

I get bored by other tasks after 40 min.

I'm the same way. I was really disappointed how little programming there was in my computer engineering program.

With programming there is a lot of room for you to solve a problem in your own special way. You can also really see all the little steps in your solution and work out any bugs with trial and error. When you get the wrong answer on a calculus or chemistry problem what you do is read the textbook to find where you fucked up. When a piece of your code doesn't work what you do is read your code to see where you fucked up.
