How do you fail pre-calc bro?

I just took an exam for that class monday and i got a 93

Trig is trig. I don't see how it can be harder at a different college

Either way how the fuck?

How did you fail precalc?
Did you try your hardest, study, go to lectures? I mean jesus if you put in some honest effort you should be passing.

>> No.4142705

you need to spend more time doing maths and less time on 4chan.

>> No.4142707

Just took calc 1 final. Last math course was
"Fuctions" 7 years ago in high school. I studied for a total of exactly zero minutes the entire semester.

Got a 92. One guy did better, who studied for allegedly 10 hours just this week, and has told me he studies for 5 hours a week normally. He got like a 95 or 96. I think I motivate him to work his ass off because I don't do shit and score near him on everything.

The rest of the class are mouth breathers who all are going to scrape Cs.

Yup there goes your dream. Because believe it or not its not a bullshit course or undergrad cannon fodder meant to weed out people who didn't take it seriously (like you). You will see all the concepts again as an engineer whether its mechanics. E&M, fluids, thermo, or even signal processing.

But congratulations on fucking up your future

to be fair the 1st time was some bullshit where you 'work at your own pace.' AKA Pay for a class and then don't get any lectures and just learn from the book. I could've done that shit for free at the library...

don't feel bad brother. learn your basics well and try to understand it from the ground up. think of them as puzzles and try to explain it to yourself when you learn something. do a lot of problems and see if you can find such patterns in nature and such.

i admit precalc is pretty basic, but the lower level classes are more focused on repetition and rigor in detail than rigor in concepts. with practice you might make out just fine.

You think that's a lot? get up to your 300/400 level courses and studying that much will get you a C- at best.

>>4142666
I thought pre-calc was harder than calc. I got a C in pre-calc and a A in calc 1-3.

too many concepts getting thrown at you when you can't understand them well enough conceptually without normal calc imo. it was a bigger step up going from algebra-->pre-calc than from pre-calc-->calc

I've always sucked at maths.

I could've probably understood it if I actually would've studied, but I never did, so all I ever got was average to below average grades.

I know it's a shame, but I just don't care about solving endless equations by hand.
