Actually I was reading about his policies today. Seems like a reasonable guy, first candidate I've ever given two shits about.

In general he lets people make decisions for themselves, be it drug use, religion, health care, what have you.

now i know why you are voting for ron paul.

ron paul is a creationist who also subscribes to austrian economic ideology

sure his foreign policy sounds good and he's only 50% insane compared to fullretard republicans....

but really? free-markets magically fix everything and creationism, is this the best you can do?

He wants to scrap everything. Like, fucking everything. He wants to diminish the federal government to the point where he basically doesn't do anything and the states do everything for themselves. Also, the free market decides everything. It would be a fucking mess.

>> No.4101411

The problem with discussing Ron Paul is that he has this slavish cult of personality who jump on you and eat you alive if you suggest that the good doctor might be the least bit wrong about anything, ever. And he's really, really, REALLY fucking wrong, about a lot.

Hi sci's only economicsfag here. Austrian economics is much closer to the truth than the current lolKeynesian dogma the government is fanatically devoted to, or even the reaganite Chicago school. It's not perfect but it's better than what we have. Inb4 1500 replies

Really? You're just as bad as creationists who won't vote for an agnostic/atheist, or the idiots who won't vote for cain because he may have been sexually promiscuous.

You need to look at his policies, not his beliefs or behaviors. This "creationist" advocates for freedom of religion and stem cell research, among other things.

What's even more impressive is that he puts constitutionality before his agenda. He is pro-life, however he does not support a federal ban on abortion, and claims that should be up to the states. This is one example of many.

In spite of his creationist background, he seems like a very reasonable person.

ron paul thinks ayn rand was a genius
he thinks evolution is just a theory, a bad guess
he thinks we need to de-regulate wall street more because deep down they are good and know whats best

he thinks social security, welfare, health-care, unemployment insurance, public education and helping your neighbor are all sins
