The problem with discussing Ron Paul is that he has this slavish cult of personality who jump on you and eat you alive if you suggest that the good doctor might be the least bit wrong about anything, ever. And he's really, really, REALLY fucking wrong, about a lot.

You need to look at his policies, not his beliefs or behaviors. This "creationist" advocates for freedom of religion and stem cell research, among other things.

What's even more impressive is that he puts constitutionality before his agenda. He is pro-life, however he does not support a federal ban on abortion, and claims that should be up to the states. This is one example of many.

In spite of his creationist background, he seems like a very reasonable person.
