"God" is an atheist. And he's omnipotent, but he sure as hell ain't omniscient or omnibenevolent.

>> No.4067417

is god not capable of anything?
did god not exist indefinitely before the universe was created?

if yes:
>god MUST have created a rock he can't lift, etc.
>god MUST have also created a god that created himself (if it's possible, it must have happened, and he IS omnipotent, right?)

if no:
>he is not omnipotent
or
>he did not exist forever before the universe, and therefore had a beginning he didnt cause

I like this question, op. It's a funny way of saying "Who created god?" If god exists, he must be an atheist as he doesn't believe a higher power created him. It can't be ridiculous to think you were not created by a higher power if god believes so.

I can't tell if those negatives are intentional, so I'll make a statement: God is omnipotent( within the limits of the universe), but not omniscient. He does not have the knowledge to fully manipulate the universe. He can create the largest rocks the universe can support, and lift them.

No idea where you're going on the rest. Nothing has a cause, and causality will always fail outside of the universe as you know it.

dawg, i'm going off of the popular interpretation of the Christian omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent Yaweh.
i have no idea where you're getting all your information.
furthermore, you're claiming detailed knowledge of something which may or may not exist.

None of those questions apply since they assume the existence of this "god" thing, and that's a clearly invalid assumption. Before you can validly bring such questions, you have to FIRST establish the existence of this "god" thing.

Note: GOOD LUCK. Nobody has done so. EVER.

don't tell me your from the 'nothing exploded, and thats how everything was made' school of thought?

The term god however is often thrown about without much clarification. Often referring to some sort of higher being/race/existence and not nessisarily the bearded old man who (apparently) sent his kid to earth

>> No.4067524

Not having a religion doesn't make you an atheist. You can believe in God w/out religion.
