I study quantum physics...
Would they be impressed if I told them?

Maybe they'd be impressed if you had anything interesting to say about it.

studying quantum physics was not what he was claiming is difficult. the truth that quantum mechanics is alluding to is whats difficult to comprehend.

dumb ass

I'm pretty sure he has no idea what hes talking about hes a lawyer. He just thinks it's hard because he heard so.

I'm more about Nuclear Reactors and Space/Time.

They find that boring as fuck.

Why do you fucking care? What a shallow question.

It's like the phrase "It's not rocket science," and knowing a rocket scientist who's dumb as rocks. Anything can seem difficult when you're not familiar with the subject at all, especially when it's unintuitive.

Also, sage for essentially being e-penis waving.

there are two scenarios OP, either they're saying taht seriously, in which case they're completly ignorant about science and maths, or they were joking around and they know full well that computer engineering could well be just as demanding as studying physics. If the former then maybe they'll be impressed but they probably aren't worth your time, if the later then they won't be impressed at all.
