Why is it that humans came to have sentients through evalution, when there are so many organisms that have survived as well if not better without it, what is its evolutionary purpose?

It shall remain a mystery forever.

So his English sucks. Maybe it isn't his first tongue.

You can't think in terms of "purpose" in evolution. That shit just happens.

how do you know other animals aren't sentient? How do you know that humans are? your post makes many assumptions, perhaps you should investigate the validity of these claims first.

Body is not as strong as other mammals, but resilient.

Sentience allows development of efficient communications to understand each other (memory, mirror neurons in brain) and therefore establishing groups of people to survive better.

Wolves have excellent memory and have white sclera and vocal communication.

People need that more because we were essentially nerf.

Tl'DR: Sentience = Better Communications = Better More Efficient Society = Unity in X Group = Survival.

Random genetic mutations occur, giving certain organisms an advantage, and these usually survive, but sometimes useless genes prevail instead, but either way, its random. Shit just happens. no purpose.

the behaviour of little childeren investigating their environment has parallels to the scientific method.
it speeds up learning and understanding how the world works.

i think there is no evolutionary purpose towards scientific bahavior as adults. it's a secondary effect.

Because we are weak, slow, ugly hairless apes. All those factors where threatening us, so only those with some insight survived.
