Environmental Scientist here
TY, my favorite part of it is that I actually get to run around the woods and collect data sometimes (when it's not too cold, like now, then we get the Interns to wade around in the streams with seining nets). When I was choosing my path, all I wanted to do was smoke bud and run around the woods. Plus, I work for a government agency, so unless the funding is cut (which unfortunately is very likely with every Republican candidate talking about how protecting the environment "kills jobs") I basically have to fuck up HARD in order to lose my job.

Also, a warning to everybody in school right now planning to go into a /sci/ related field - work on your goddamn people skills. If you end up working for a university or a government agency, a quarter of your job will be lobbying for funds.
