get a calendar. write the shit you want to do for that day and cross off each day once you complete them. once you have a streak going, you won't want to break it. you can only waste time once you've completed each day's work and you can continue a broken streak by making up for lost work.

- Do you have to work on your computer? In all likelihood, you've trained yourself to be non-productive around a computer. Being away from one would automatically help you stop screwing around. I'm saying your behavior is environment dependant. You may want to move away from your computer OR reorganize the way you're around your computer in such a way that it doesn't feel like it used to before (see point 2).

-Do you listen to music on your computer? Never do it when you want to get work done. So you're in another room doing homework and you feel like getting back on the computer, but then you think "shit, I'd have to reboot the comp and get on my knees and plug the power supply cable and all that shit...fuuuuuck". So now your procrastination works in reverse. It prevents you from wasting your time.

Those are the one that I can think of...

Threads like this one are a prime example of what makes /sci/ so addicting. It's just so much fun seeing how a discussion gets totally derailed by some trolls.

To keep this on topic:
If you want to get rid of /sci/, you need to find the right time to view it as mediocre and get bored of it. Take a look at it in the evening, when the majority of threads is made by american highschoolers spamming homework and sci fi.
Right now it's eurotime and many threads are amusing and/or intellectually stimulating, giving you a reason not to stop visiting that shit board.

Whenever you want to work, associate another action with it. Maybe it getting on a certain clothing item, or getting a coffee, changing chair, something.

So that whenever you train yourself on a "subconscious level" (i'm so sorry I just used those wors) to associate that trigger with work.
