What does /sci/ think of school uniforms?should they be mandatory?

If I were in charge, I might go for uniforms because it makes enforcing arbitrary dress-codes less work for teachers.

Australian, so my school had a uniform. I liked it. Ties and blazers look great. I think it makes things easier on teachers.
