There's already been a couple threads about this. It's a combination of the bicycle steering naturally towards the direction it's falling, which keeps it upright longer, and humans being naturally good at balancing themselves.

Humans are tool users, our brain naturally considers any 'tool' we use to be an extension of the body.

This includes things like bicycles, or cars. You have a natural affinity for using tools.

So yes. We are naturally intuitive towards it. A sense of balance helps, as well.
